Tara-isms Part X

Tara stood next to her little friend and then looked over at her friend's daddy and said: "My daddy is bigger than your daddy."

When I dropped off Tara at pre-school yesterday, her teacher asked me if Tara's daddy is tall. I said, excuse me? She said Tara told the class that her daddy is bigger than Mr. Mark, another teacher. I looked at Mr. Mark, a tall man, and said, I think her daddy is taller. Tara beamed.
(I'm not sure why this is so important to her right now. John better beware; she may be trying to pick fights for him.)

Tara threw her little stuffed dolphin and it hit her 11-year-old brother on the eye. Not badly hurt, he was rubbing his eye when I scolded her: "TARA, what do you say?" She froze and looked at him, then grinned and said, "Crybaby crybaby!"

I came across your blog following links from someone I know who recently adopted. I am a grandmother and I am touched by the moving adoption/adaptation-to-family stories in so many of the links. Yours is particularly well-written and delightful to read. Your daughter is lovely and her older brother a handsome young man. I know it must be a challenge to keep up with posting regularly but if at all possible, I hope you will continue to do so as often as you can, and of course, post pictures of them occasionally to show how they are growing up. You and your husband must be immensely proud of your children. Keep up the good work. May the Lord bless you!

HA! I love it! "Crybaby"? Oh that is awesome. Well it certainly sounds like Tara will turn out to be a little toughie, and in this big old world, that's a good thing. Thanks to Austin for taking the hit on that one. Yes of course Tara's dad is taller than that teacher. Tara's dad is a Yeti for gosh sakes.

Lovely letter from Tharen, the grandmother. She sounds like a lady with a big heart.
