Tara's World

In Tara's World:

--Flip flop shoes are flop-flops.
--A back pack is a pack-pack.
--Any gathering is a party. Any party is a birthday party.
--Beds are made for jumping.
--Brothers are made for teasing and bugging.
--If she already "read" a book, she says, "I read that 2 weeks ago."
--Getting in a car and going anywhere is good.
--Talking with your mouth full is a no-no.
--Small talk is perfectly natural. Driving home from school, the car is quiet. She says from the back seat: "We went to the library today."
--She loves to be a friend. If you are thirsty, she is thirsty too. She will bring you a drink.
--If you are hurt, she examines your wound and brings you a band aid.
--If you are tired, she brings you a stuffed animal to "help you feel better."
--She can scream like she's in a horror movie. Usually it's directed at the cat or her brother.
--She talks about her "family" all the time. At school, at home. She draws pictures of us. If she sees four animals in a book, she says they are us.
--We are all thankful for Tara. And for our family and friends.

Happy Thanksgiving...!

Tara was funny this Thanksgiving. I felt so bad when she burned her little fingers, she really didn't know she had even done it til it was too late. Dear Mama, giving her a little cold cloth to carry around. Tara put her wings on and called herself a butterfly. We talked to Santa a bunch of times on the phone. Each time, Tara reminded me to tell Santa that she and Austin want presents. But I told Tara that Santa said he had looked in on her the other day, and she was giving Mama a hard time at bed time. But Santa agreed to"erase that" and Tara agreed to go to bed when she should. Everytime Tara said "Ring ring!" I answered it and it was Santa. Once, it was Mr. Grinch and we told him he couldn't trick us. We told him that he could come over but Daddy would bop him on the head for sure. When I was leaving Tara kissed my cheek. We agreed that if Santa called again, that Tara would tell him that I've been good, too.(Aunt Karen wants a laptop)
