The beach
Tomorrow we will take our little Ukrainian princess daughter and our future major-league baseball pitcher son to spend a week at an oceanfront beach house in North Carolina. This will be Tara's first family vacation. It will be her first time on a beach. She will be meeting two uncles and two aunts and a few cousins, too.
We are flying there, hopefully the 2 hours will seem like nothing to her, compared to the long overseas journey home in April. We will cover her in sunscreen and put a life jacket on her and what will she think of the roaring ocean at her feet?
We plan to upload pictures while we are there, so stay tuned for the adventures of the beach.

Cool! Let's see if she likes sand better than Austin, huh? (Austin used to not like sand! And I'll just leave it at that...):-o
Can't wait to see the pics. Wish me luck, I'm going to let Marika drive my new black Pontiac G6, which she picked out since the 10 year old Saturn literally fell apart underneath me.
She has to take her driver's test now in this monster sports car! What have I gotten myself into? Ben almost had a heart attack when he first saw this car in the garage. He's like, "You bought a REAL car!!!" (Shock & awe.) Guess the Saturn wasn't a 'real car'?
See, I can still surprise the guy--isn't that what love's all about? ;-)
All of you must be having a great time. I saw the picture of the place your staying, looks great. hello to all my children and have fun enjoying the beach house.etc Surely Tara is enjoying all of the attention she is getting.
Love MOM
Get Tara a cool pair of sunglasses, there's nothing more endearing than a two year old with sunglasses on. I hope all the introductions go fine. Meagan and Molly will be under Tara's spell! We just got back from Virginia..weird, huh? I see Sal's comment that Marika is driving. I'm not sure how to feel about that. Because it just put an image in my mind of Molly, Meagan and Caroline driving, too. Oh good, more to worry about.
