Tall and slim
The doctor said today that Tara looks great, and she's tall and slim--and that with American food she'll be gaining weight in no time.
I have heard that you double the child's height at age two for their full grown height, which would put Tara right up there at 5 feet 8 1/2 inches tall someday. It will be so interesting to see how fast, or slow, she grows, or if that indicator is even close to being accurate. (So cousin Sally, I guess she'll be passing you up in, oh, fourth grade?)

Posted by: Alicia McDuffie at April 27, 2005 09:58 PMHa ha what a slam to poor Sal. I think she is the shortest of all us cousins. But she's a pisces...so Tara is that tall for 2? Better get that basketball hoop up. Caroline can't wait to babysit. She asks me everyday!
I see that so many nice people have been reading this blog, how nice that people send such good wishes and prayers. Laura, I sent my FBI friend the gift, she should get it Thursday. I called her to make sure she wasn't an activist or anything. So she is sure curious!
I think this summer is going to be fantastic, and I will personally set up our big inflatable pool for Tara and she can spend the day here. I can't wait to see her in bathing suit oh she is so precious what a treasure!
Maybe her 'other' Aunt Karen Wiz and her cousin Meagan will fly up to visit her. We have plenty of space.
I can hear Tara's giggles and I can smell her brownie breath from here!
Okay! Make fun of me when I'm down with a migraine. This morning I arose from my swamp to see myself coming up short. So Pisces are diminutive? My mom drank too much caffeine when I was in the womb, that's all. I knew Tara was going to be a long stemmed American-Ukrainian beauty, you should see the gorgeous long-legged women that stalk Kiev in their high heels. They walk arm in arm on those cobblestones so they don't fall over, we figured out.
We were the only ones in the city with "sensible" librarian shoes.
Speaking of long-legged, Natasha is a gazelle! The woman walks so fast I was huffing and puffing even with my Jazzercise workout 3x a week! We went everywhere in a line--Natasha up ahead, Laura (long-legged Polish girl, next) and me, Flounder, pulling up the rear.
I love the raincoat, and I'm hoping she has a great first day at Daycare & Mom has a good day back at work!!! sal
