Part II of this journey

It's hard to know what to say when you are less than a week away from picking up your little daughter in another country. I hope she didn't feel like she was abandoned again when we left nearly 30 days ago.

My cousin Sally is going with me, she says it's an adventure of a lifetime(!) John will stay home with our precious son Austin. Sally and I are leaving on Wednesday (April 6) and will arrive in Kiev on Thursday, with a stop in London. We hope to return to the U.S., all three of us, the following Wednesday.

Regular entries will resume here today, so stay tuned! And feel free to leave comments. I think Sally is really going to like the sausage croissants. That'll be our first stop...

Woohoo! Eat your hearts out, folks! I'm so excited that I'm going on this voyage with my cool cuz, Laura L. I got the brainstorm to go, and she okayed it, even though she knows me. The Ukrainian Embassy put the wrong name on my Visa so I hope I get to come back, and that I don't get stuck in the Ukraine Airport with Tom Hanks in Terminal Part II: Return to Burger King! I do eat BK but I'd rather have a Cinnabon...if it comes to that. I CAN'T WAIT to see little Tara V., and in the meantime I can report all Laura's quirks and bizarre personality tics in this blog! The things you find out when you travel together! Yes, it's bound to be a rollicking adventure...

Laura:
Dave and I will be praying for your safe journey to bring Tara Vika home. And good luck with your Cuz Sally... It will be fun to see what she has to say about the Ukraine, its food and, of course, your odd habits!
Cheers,
Greta
