This story

The story of a little Ukrainian child with a new name and a new life has really just begun.

This blog will remain live, so feel free to check in and leave comments. Regular entries will resume April 1. Are you ready to come along with us for the second part of this adventure?

I'm in! You already knew that! Can't wait to get you home for a breather. Tara will understand. She knows, you said it yourself. She knows you're coming back.

Great photo. Note the hearts on her sweater!

To laugh often and love much,
To win the respect of intelligent persons
And the affection of children;
This is to have succeeded!

Yippee!!!!!!!!
Laura- we were all sick with the flu here and i haven't checked in for a week. Wow, i can't believe all i missed!!
that is wonderful news that you are officially Tara's mom.
I can't imagine, though, going home without her. :-( But 30 days will pass soon. And i'm sure you left lots of pictures of yourselves, etc. (can't you call her from home??) How exciting that your journey is -- almost -- complete! take care, wendy

John, Laura, Austin and Tara:

Congratulations! It's a GIRL!
Sorry for your 30 day delay, but it is to be expected as I'm sure you weren't surprised. At least you'll have time to get ready for her?

Good luck and God Bless!
