Just a few days til we leave
We have everything we need --- tickets, passports, visas, international cell phone, adapters. Now we have to think about actually packing. So much still to do!
My wonderful sister Karen (she made me say that) is getting ready to take our amazing son Austin in for a few weeks. She always treats him like a little prince. Austin's friends are clamoring for sleepover dates at their houses. The neighbors will watch our crazy cat Winston. Awesome people are covering for me at work (Sorry! No I'm not.) We leave Monday afternoon and arrive in Amsterdam 7 1/2 hours later. They tell me we'll have two movies and two meals. They should also say two Tylenol PMs because that's what I'm going to be taking!
We arrive in Ukraine Tuesday afternoon, their time, our appointment at the adoption center is Wednesday. Ukraine is 7 hours ahead of us.
Leave a comment here if you'd like, there will probably be a lot of hurry up and wait time...

Good for you, take your long underwear!
I'm excited for you, I've been obsessively reading everything about Ukrainian adoptions and can't wait to meet "Justine" (I helpfully picked a name for my new cousin.) Keep us posted. I will be assiduously reading this blog, (instead of working.)Hug to Austin, have a safe trip! sal

I myself am kinda partial to the name "Stephanie". Then, folks in Chicago will call her "Stefka" while folks in Detroit call her "Stella". It would be like having triplets.
By the way, when you stop at McDonald's in Debica for a snack on your way back, be sure to take a photo of the Zasadni barn that was damaged by fire recently.
And Karen prefers to be called your "super sister".
Clueless in Chicago
Posted by: Clueless in Chicago at January 29, 2005 11:20 PMIf you could let me know if I need a copy of the physician's license that did my physical? I did put the number of the physician's license next to his signature on my physicial, as instructed by the Adoption Agency, but was not told to get a copy of his licence. Thanks.
